Nice and rare part but not correct for U.S. or Euro cars. I believe it was correct for Japanese and NZ cars. The recent 2.7 Carrera book has the details.
Hey Oliver,
That could be the case, just not the U.S. or Euro cars.
I'm fairly up to speed on these owning both a '74 and a '75 Carrera. The PET is all over the place on these and is incorrect (shocker). These "golf club" style mirrors are specific to a couple other international variants. I'll check my 2.7 book when I get home tonight and follow up. Someone else may chime in in the meantime.
GLWS.
Still available, $500 shipped from France ;-)
That looks remarkably similar to a 924 mirror.
Hi Frank,
sure it looks similar but this one is really a 911 part ;-)
Italian 74/75 market ;-)

BTW still available ;-)

I'm 99.9% sure that the mirrors on that blue car are incorrect for Italian-delivered Carreras. I've seen half a dozen of these, including a 36k mile, one owner car I'm currently trying to buy in Milan, and every one of them has been fitted with the standard flag mirrors.
The excellent Carrera 2.7 resource book published by Bryan Snodgrass last year (which I highly recommend for those interested in the details of these cars) lists them as typical for Australian market, RHD cars.
