Currently in between Porsches. Sold my 73.5T Targa, now suffering from serious withdrawal symptoms. Attending Rennsport Reunion VI didn't really help getting over it.

That Gemini coupe appears to be a decent car for the money...or am I missing something?

I think the buyer did really well on this one.
Looks to me like something is very wrong with the front end of the car. The spacing between the driver side front fender and hood is horrendous. The passenger side corner light, vent and hood fitment looks suspect as well. Also stated is the fuel tank was replaced. I can also see overspray on the paint code plate. I am in the market but based on my observations of the pictures alone I am not pursuing this one.

Yeah - I see what you mean re spacing...but I would have definitely gotten a PPI. Seemed interesting.

BaT Auction Description:
This 1973.5 Porsche 911T is a nice longhood example that has been driven around 1,000 miles since purchased by the seller in 2013. The coupe is powered by its original 2.4 liter flat-six with CIS fuel injection paired to a non-matching 915/12 5-speed transmission. The car was a well-sorted driver when the seller bought it, and is said to be mechanically sound with routine oil and fluid changes being the only maintenance performed under current ownership. An older India Red repaint is in good shape, and other cosmetic enhancements include Euro headlights, rally-style fogs, and refurbished 15″ Fuchs. The seller enjoys driving the car, but is paring down his collection to focus on new projects. The car is being offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The seller notes that the CoA and door tag indicate the car was originally Silver Metallic, and that the previous owner performed the repaint in India Red. The paint was applied well, though a few slivers of silver paint can be seen in the driver’s door jamb and under the trunk. The seller did not touch up these areas in case the new buyer desires to return the car to its original color and needs a color-matching reference. The finish appears glossy and is in good driver condition with a few imperfections. The most notable flaws are a thin 8″ scratch on the driver-side front fender and a small crease near one of the jacking points. The seller can include a set of “S” rocker moldings if the new buyer wishes to cover up the jacking point area. The body is straight with no signs of significant corrosion, though a small patch panel under the passenger seat can be seen and was likely performed during the repaint.
The headlights were upgraded to H4 European lights with a relay kit to avoid damage to the wiring harness, and a set of through-the-grille rally-style fog lamps have been installed. All of the lights and indicators work as they should and the car recently passed a Texas safety inspection with no issues. Exterior rubber and weatherstripping are in good condition with no cracking or major UV damage. The stainless steel trim on the bumpers, side strips, and window surrounds are straight aside from a small dent on the passenger window frame. The suspension is said to work well and offer responsive handling. There is minimal wear reported on the bushings and the shocks are functioning normally. The setup is in stock formation apart from upgraded sway bars, with an adjustable GPR bar up front and an OEM 18mm bar from a ’74 911S in the rear.
The 15″ black and silver Fuchs alloys are date-coded to 1973 and were restored by Alex Margo in Florida with new OEM center caps. The wheels are in nice shape with no curbing or scratches, and wear new Yokohama YK580 tires that measure 195/65/15. A black 15″ Mahle Gas Burner spare wheel can be seen in the front trunk and is fitted to a Michelin XZX tire. The black interior looks sharp with presentable surfaces that are either refurbished or well-cared for. No cracks exist on the dash, and the remaining plastics are in similar good condition. The white headliner has no rips or tears, and the carpets appear clean and taut. The black leatherette upholstery on the factory Recaro sport bucket seats show little wear, with a few small scuffs near the intersection of the driver’s side bolsters. The original dealer installed A/C system is intact and complete. The fan works correctly, but the system is said to not blow cold. All of the gauges are fully functional, although the tach is reported to be a little wobbly. The original head unit has been replaced with a later model Blaupunkt cassette unit that is currently not working. The 62k indicated miles are not believed accurate.
The 2.4 liter flat-six features Bosch K-Jetronic continuous fuel injection (CIS) and is described as starting readily and running strong after warming up. The engine has been updated with hydraulic chain tensioners. The CoA shows the engine number matches the vehicle, though the 5-speed transmission is a non-matching but correct 1973 date-coded 915 unit. The engine looks clean inside the tidy engine bay and has been routinely serviced with new oil and fluid changes by the current owner, most recently in July of this year. The transmission was resealed earlier this summer, though the seller reports that on a recent drive the 4th gear did not engage as well as it should. He is unsure of the source of the problem as the synchros were said to be in good shape when the gearbox was taken apart for the reseal. Furthermore, he notices that after parking for several days a small spot of oil can be seen on the ground. The engine #6135583 can be seen above and matches the number listed on the Porsche CoA.
The undercarriage is clean and dry with no significant corrosion present, and rust is said to be minimal throughout the car. A photo from underhood shows some bubbling where the brake fluid has eaten away some of the red paint, exposing the original silver paint underneath. Some surface corrosion under a hose in the front trunk is also detailed in the image gallery, and is said to have not rusted through. As result of several conversations and a visual inspection, the seller reports that the previous owner took very good care of the vehicle. A Porsche CoA has been provided and shows the matching engine number, original colors, and optional equipment.

Auction Description:
This very rare, early 911T SWB is a right-hand drive example first registered in the UK in early September 1968 with the original maintenance manual showing its pre-delivery inspection was on the 9th of September. Supplied through AFN Ltd, the first importer of 911s into the UK, the car was maintained by them until 1973 and period maintenance records reveal the car had two UK owners before it was exported to Guernsey in November 1973, with an odometer reading of 62,000 miles.
The first Guernsey owner was Mr. M. Ogier, an enthusiast who is well known on the island as the proprietor of a small specialist garage. His is the last entry in the Maintenance Record book. In his ownership, he also changed the car from Beige to its current more attractive, period correct Porsche colour of Irish Green.
Mr. Ogier sold the car in December 1986 to a Mr. B Castle who was at school with the current owner. He took the car to a number of shows and even won a prize and the information sheet he put together when he showed the car, gave the mileage as 77k. He was to own the car for only two years before selling it to our vendor's Uncle in November 1988 who only wanted it for the Guernsey number plate that read 911 to put on his new 911 Turbo.
A year later, over dinner one evening, the vendor's uncle mentioned that he had an old Porsche 911 he didn't want and so the deal was done, then and there. The brakes had seized up but the engine ran fine. The car was taken to our vendor's house where it was put on blocks, and there it stayed for about another five years until eventually a local small garage was enlisted to help get the car on the road again. One of their invoices (dated July 1997) shows the mileage as just over 78K, which looking at the current mileage shows the car has been driven less than 4,000 miles in our vendor's possession over the past 27 years!
It wasn't until 2010 that our vendor could afford to have a proper restoration done to the car and Guernsey-based Classic and Porsche specialists, Harrison Automotive were entrusted with a full but sympathetic renovation to return the car to its former glory and they immediately set about the task.
The stripped down car revealed no prior damage and only fairly minimal corrosion for its age. The detailed photographic record of the work done provides any prospective buyer with everything he needs to know about its fundamental condition. For example, the floor pan did not need replacing, as the car had always been kept dry. No nut or bolt escaped their attention and the level of work undertaken on the car is truly first class as can be seen in the finished article. More recently the engine and engine bay have been subject to further detailed refurbishment to the same standard.
Along with the photographic record, invoices are present documenting the work undertaken showing that the total amount invoiced for the project was £37,609.29. Further to this, the car is presented with an excellent history file with its original maintenance record book along with invoices and paperwork documenting its life. Currently, Guernsey Registered the car will need a UK Registration and MoT should it remain within the UK.
It is extremely rare to find an early 911 comparable to this car, in fact, we are not sure you can. Unaltered from new, original down to the radio, tool set and maintenance books, lovely history, a small number of owners and long term ownership. This really is a rare and special opportunity for someone to acquire a very fine example of an archetypal early 911.

Auction Description:
In early 1973, Porsche made a small number of 2.4T Mechanical Fuel Injection (MFi) cars in a short run in-between the 1972 2.4T side oil-fill model and the later 1973 2.4 CIS Injection and Zenith Carburettor models. By the end of February 1973, the 2.4T MFi production run ended in favour of the less powerful but more emission friendly CIS injection, and in total Porsche produced less than three hundred 2.4T MFi cars, rendering this 1973 2.4T MFI a very rare model indeed.
This F-Series, left-hand drive, 2.4T MFi was first registered in February 1973 and supplied by Porsche America in its original colour of Light Ivory White, considered by many as one of the most beautiful 70's colours on offer at that time. Used very sparingly for its first 12 years from 1973 to 1985, it was decided in late 1985 that a colour change to Guards Red would be appropriate and so the car was taken off the road to prepare it for its new 'coat of colours'. However, little progress was made over the ensuing years, and the car remained unfinished for the next 30 years, fortunately, stored in a temperature controlled garage, hence its wonderfully rust-free condition. Given the time the car was off the road, the indicated mileage of 22,582 miles may well be correct, although we are unable to confirm this.
Although it's unusual to call a car 'original and unmolested' when it no longer wears its factory paint, the underside of the car is incredibly original and the chassis is accident-free. There are plenty of areas on early 1970's Porsche 911s that are attractive to the old tin worm, such as the battery boxes, kidney bowls, side sills and door shutters, however, this car has been protected from the elements and remains in a wonderfully unperforated state. Complete with its original 6 x 15 Fuchs alloys and the all-important Mechanical Fuel Injection, this car represents a rare opportunity to acquire a low mileage and rust free example. The matching numbers engine turns freely, although the car has not run for three decades, so a full rebuild might be sensible.
Offered to the open market for the first time in over 30 years, this car is crying out to be restored back to its original specification and its original colour of Light Ivory White with a black interior. Supplied with a NOVA reference number, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this car will need to be registered with the DVLA to obtain a UK V5c. At today's guide, it certainly looks tempting, and we urge you to view this car and clear some space in your garage.
