WTB: MotoMeter Celsius Oil Temperature Gauge

I'm now missing and looking for this particular MotoMeter Oil Temperature Gauge.

Sample photo below; Black dial, scale from 40-120 in Celsius.

Hopefully the gauge will include the sender if it is in fact a 'mechanical' gauge. Since I have never personally seen the back of this particular gauge I cannot confirm is 'electrical'.

    Please email me directly at "A J S E R R A N O @ M S N . C O M"

    Thank you.

Recently found this one to complete the 917 gauge set. This is an UBER rare piece!

    Hello Armando,

this seems to be an oil pressure instrument, no oil temperature instrument ;-)

Hello Harold! Yes, I'm aware that's a 'pressure gauge' and not a temperature gauge and didn't mean to confuse.

I posted the image of the '908/917 VDO oil druck' gauge to share the results of that fishing expedition. LOL

Why am I excited about that? I have never, ever seen one offered for sale anywhere. I'm sure these are out there, but where?

    Please find me the "Motometer".

Hi Armando I think I should have one of these oil Pressure Instruments but with a white face,
The motometer should be doable to find in Germany.

What I'm trying to achieve... here is a concept photo of a 914 instrument bezel panel turned à la 917K

...again, red arrows point to the Motometer gauge I'm now missing. There are other options under consideration. Photos to follow.

Hello Uli and Peter! Thank you both for offering to help. Below is another option...

Here is a period VDO oil temp gauge I found and purchased, 'NOS' as an added bonus.

    VDO Celsius Temperature Gauge 40-120 - Photo 01a.jpg 7583590b.jpg

With the exception of the color of the needle center-button, this gauge matches my 917 Oil Pressure gauge perfectly as a set, including the 'scale' and 'tick-marks' style on the dial's face.

VDO Celsius Temperature Gauge 40-120 - Photo 02a.jpg

The needle can be easily changed to match the other. In this pix I changed the color to illustrate.

VDO Celsius Temperature Gauge 40-120 - Photo 03a.jpg

...and now the needle to show what that would look like.

VDO Celsius Temperature Gauge 40-120 - Photo 04a.jpg

Actually, I kinda like the way this now looks, with the matching VDO oil temp gauge, not the Motometer...

    914 Instrument Cluster a' la 917K - Photo 01b.jpg

But I shall continue to look for the proper Motometer Oil Temp Gauge.

Hi Peter, too much to change to make that gauge correct. I will find one (ZD 52.136)...

Here is the correct Motometer gauge I found, but too late as it sold by the time I reached out to the Seller.

    so 'the hunt' continues...
