Check with Eric Linden. I think he just said he has some more repro sound pads which are very nice (bought 2 from last batch). They go fast

    FS: @Motorcar Studio - 1971 911S 2.2L(?) Targa - US$78k

Federalized ROW model, needs work, like a matching 'S' engine.
    ------------------------------------
    Motorcar Studio - Atlanta - http://www.motorcarstudio.com
    1971 911S 2.2L(?) Targa
    VIN: 9111310529
    Engine: 6201954 (non-matching 'E' engine)
    Trans: 117358
    Mileage: 39,055
    Price: US$78,500

    Seller's Description:
Certificate of Authenticity confirms rare, desirable original color of Metallic Blue. The car is due a proper restoration but is a far more solid and complete starting point than most. Topside panels are straight and solid with no rot in the fender doglegs or windshield frame. No evidence of accident damage, significant topside rust or any filler. There is some typical rust in the usual places underneath -- mostly in the front pan and rear torsion bar areas. The car appears to have its original floor pans and rockers, and they appear quite solid. Folding Targa top is in good condition. Through-the-grille Hella driving lights have been added. Deep-six Fuchs all the way around are in good condition. The trim strips on the wheel arches are specified on the COA.

The interior also deserves a freshening, but the important S-only items are all there, from the 7200 rpm tach to the leather-wrapped steering wheel. All 1971 S models came with factory sport seats as standard equipment, so they are not listed as an option on the COA. The sport seats with double locker bases are still fitted to the car and in good condition. In addition to COA, owner's manual and original key code card are included. Originally a Euro car as indicated by lenses and km/h speedometer.

The installed 1970 911E motor (6201954) fitted with 40 IDA Webers does not run and will need to be gone through. The car rolls, steers and stops. Excellent car to restore, especially with the desirable color and factory sport seats.

    Seller's Description:
This 1972 Porsche 911S coupe has been lovingly cared for and modified, as a "tribute" to the greatest of all Porsche models: 1973-74 RS. I have receipts.

Modifications include: 2.4 L engine bored out to 2.8. Mahle pistons used. Crankshaft was magnafluxed, ground, and shot peened. Rod bearings were blueprinted. Clearances brought to 0.0001”. Wrist pin bushings. Hand matched connecting rods were shot peened. Dyno recorded 240 horsepower DIN then. Later modifications brought it near 300HP. Compression ratio raised. Advanced timing changes. Modified European fuel injection pump, later modified further for increased performance. Koni shock absorbers. Rally brake pads used. 19 mm sway bars and anti-roll bars. Rear trailing arm assembly. Front A-supports. RSR Shock tower support on both sides. Suspension pick-up points modified. Best quality oil cooler used. 100 liter gas tank installed. New transmission gears with further modification to close gear ratios to increase acceleration. Clutch disc replaced. RSR style body with new front and rear bumpers. Car custom repainted. “Aero” style exterior rear view mirrors. Sheets installed on rear fenders to avoid rock chip installed on rear fenders. Racing seat belts.

Engine was rebuilt by superb San Francisco mechanic, Allen Klinger, owner of The Stable garage, at 64,062 mile, 285 horsepower DIN in about 1979. Engine was rebuilt about 60,000 miles ago by German Motorcraft using new Mahle 2.8 L pistons and more radical Garretson camshafts which added at least ten more horsepower. Chrome roof rack added.

\Replaced: master brake cylinder, front and rear engine seals, valve cover gaskets, windshield and oil line from tank to oil filter housing and clutch kit. Machined fly wheel. Quality rear speakers installed along with remote ten-CD player installed [needs repair.] Sale will include set of four factory Porsche narrow wheels and tires for use in the winter and engine parts, like spark plugs, oil filter, etc. All this work and expense has created one of the very best sports car ever.

Mine is in great shape too. The only cut is where the Delta Mark 10 resides. Otherwise it's crisp and not coming apart.
