Here I am extolling the virtues of the 1966 Drivers Manual at cars and coffee early this year with die schwarze ameise ( the black ant) in the background.

I guess since I'm doing more than just lurking now, knee deep already into the ST project, I might as well show my face.

a sentimental mid-winter look back at my best automotive day of 2011............... the Porsche Race Car Classic at the Quail in October. It was sunny & warm, the coolest Porsches imaginable everywhere you looked, and legendary old factory drivers hanging around telling stories. It just doesn't get better than that.
That's Willy Kauhsen ( left, in the battery-powered trousers ), Eberhard Mahle on the right, and yours truly, the happy, grinning imbecile, in the middle.
What a great day that was !!

My much missed 911T and me...
1972 Porsche 911T - 2.7 RS pistons and rods, weber carbs, solex camshaft - stupidly sold and deeply missed...
Interesting paint color. Looks serious, clean.
