Whoa Andrew, that is spectacular! Speechless... Not sure how I missed your original post back in June. I need to plan a visit to CO and see it in person and talk details. Do you know if Eugen ever bent any metal racing the car? It appears not and if so, that is an amazing feat by itself.

How's the Bug? Have you raced it at all this season?

Hi Scott - nice to hear from you! Please come visit me in colorado! Or I'll be at the Lime Rock Bugatti Grand Prix next year. Eugen Kiemele never bent any metal on the car, based on our convrsations with him. Unfortunately, I won't be at Monterey this year, as I am helping my son to move into an apartment in NYC. The Bug has been at 3 Concours this year, but no races. Hope to see you soon!

After the 1973 Race season, in late 1973/early 1974, Eugen Kiemele sold (traded) the 9113600894 back to Paul Ernst Strähle in exchange for a 1974 Porsche Carrera 3.0 RSR, chassis 9114609068. In our conversations with him, he thought green was a distinctive color that helped his car stand out on the race track. He went from a 1973 Viper Green 2.8 RSR to a 1974 Lime Green 3.0 RSR. Here is another "never been seen before" picture, from the Eugen Kiemele Archives, of him racing his 3.0 RSR in 1974:

After Eugen Kiemele sold the 0894 back to Paul Ernst Strähle, the car passed thru Manfred Freisinger (who essentially acted as a broker), and was then sold to Jean Louis Chateau of France. In our conversations with Chateau, he confirmed he purchased a Viper Green RSR as his base car when he built his Bi-turbo 911 that he used in both the 1976 24 Heures du Mans and the 1977 24 Heures du Mans. Below is a picture of Jean Louis Chateau at 1976 LeMans.

Here are a few more pictures (from the 0894 history book) of Jean Louis Chateau driving 9113600894 at the 1976 24 Heures du Mans. In our conversations, he said he had options with two different tails and also two different bonnets. You can see both in these pictures.

    1977 Le Mans

For the 1977 24 Heures du Mans, Jean Louis Chateau said he used the same Viper Green RSR base car that he used with his #48 at the 1976 24 Heures du Mans. Here is his #84 that he raced at the 1977 LeMans race, and what we believe to be 9113600894.

    1973 Decals for Rennsport VI

I am trying to recreate these decals so I can get them reproduced correctly for Rennsport VI. Can anyone help me to identify what these decals are, and post pictures if you have pictures of any. Thanks!

On the Chiquita logo on the Ducktail, do you see a banana unpeeled, or possibly their Carmen Miranda model? I see a blue Chiquita logo on the banana.

Does anyone have copies of what this upper logo is on the left rear quarter panel? I know the Bilstein logo.

Does anyone know what this yellow dot is on the front bumper? Is it a logo of some kind?

Does anyone know what the red checkered logo and blue checkered logo is on the left rear quarter panel? And does anyone know what the logo is on the front hood above the number 8?
