Thread: Ultimate R thread

    Hello @Rower,
I think you got a typo : 20R ..not 29R ! (or, you are bringing a new one in !)
I saw that @Raj did deleted all his posts here, but did not know that 20R was restored (sad to read this !) and sold it !
Interesting to read that 20R is now in the West !
By the way, R4 (proto 4) is no longer for sale at Canepa, so can only suppose that R4 has been sold !

    1970 Ronde des Alsace-Vosges

Notice another 911R / pilote Lutz...."Alsacien Lutz , au volant d'une Porsche 911R louée à Wicky". You can see it has a Swiss plate : louée à Wicky / 'Leased to Wicky' (i'm not sure if this is a mistake by the author, and should actually be leased FROM Wicky. With the Swiss plate I would assume so. And I see Wicky on the front fender).

But this Wicky car has pivot vent wing windows. On the 1970-71 Thiry photos car. I don't think I see pivot vent wing windows (although from the photos weve just been looking at , it's hard to tell). But I do not seem to see the 'normal' plexi 911R door wing or rear qtr. windows. Or are they there ?
Does anyone have any more information about Andre Wicky? The preparation of lights in capo? Will it be made of fiber or metal?

What kind of preparation was Wicky? Official? i understand that in the 69 when he run with the R he run as a driver and not as a team. Who prepared the car for him then?

According to Wikipedia, did you found your team in 69?

Porsche says he can not see clearly if it's an R (wicky's car). Porsche can not help me identify him. If you do not trust graphic documents. What is left?

Buaa .... Thanks for the link! I did not think I would have run with so many cars although I was quite active, I understand ... It makes it a lot easier to see the history of this driver with the link! Great compilation of your story!

Regarding Wicky's car ... I do not understand anything then?

I'm not sure that VD 77385 was an R.

By example, it seems to have regular glass door windows, from a SWB and I don't see an oil cap on the right rear fender.
    What do others think?

Porsche in literal words told me ... "It's not an ST nor is it an R, that's all I can help you with."
