Porsche 911 Lightweight 1973 for racing

    Hello!!

As the title says I'm building this Porsche from 1973 as light as a low budget can provide.
The reason I'm doing this is only for one: RACING
The car will not be street legal and will not have plates.

My biggest question is: Is it possible to transform this in a ST replica(is this the better approach?)? If YES what do I need to do and where can I find the homologation papers?

Now some photos of the progress:

    How it started

Now the car is at a bodyshop and will do everything in fiberglass, from fenders to doors. (is it FIA approved?)
After I'll add a proper rollcage and all safety needs, as buckets seats and seatbelts.

    What do you think?

    Thank you!

Sounds like a fun project. There are lots of threads on here covering the details of building an ST. Modifications, etc.

As you plan to build a real race car, the first question is : In which serie do you plan to race ?

Then you need to find the regulations of this serie and build the car from theses documents.

So I've been searching and I think a Group 3 homologation FIA 3025 would be the perfect fit. The thing is, the papers are only in German or French and I don't speak or understand neither...

If you want to do a proper ST-replica, it'll cost you quite a bit (just going through the same process....).

If you need any help in translations, feel free to contact me

    Good luck!

I would think the next step should be finding that missing trailer wheel
