Bahia vs. Polo vs. India (Guards) Red

Your wrong, maybe the pictures distort the view but neither India Red or Bahia Red are in any way orange-y colours. Absoulyelt certainly Bahia is not and Frank will probably confirm on the India Red

Try Peru red. Its the nicest red Ive seen. Ive had India red, polo red and 2 ruby reds.

here's my old polo red. it was a little "sun tanned" and lost its shine in its history, but a great colour. where the sun didnt get at it, the original paint had a slight dark hint to it. not quite as deep as red wine but hinting in that direction from pure red is the best way i can describe it. really beautiful in a retro way i thought. i hope that helps somehow. this pic is a really quite dark (no californian sun here). so maybe it doesn't help. if so i'm sorry.

I think if you look back at color codes over the years, Guards Red and India Red (Indischrot) have the same color code....027. Same is true of many colors over the years...Porsche changed their names in different markets, maybe because of appeal of the name, i.e. Dalmation Blue and Oxford Blue. At least the color codes are the same, and it seems that over time some of the color codes represented slightly different color shades. But that is the way things were at Porsche in the 70s...there were many features (colors, parts, variations) that were not as absolutely listed in print.

Really, it is misleading and hopeless to compare colors on these pages via a computer monitor. Go to an automotive paint store and look at color chips side-by-side. Then get the formulae which will reveal which is more blue, vs orange, vs etc.
