What do you guys think the current VW emissions scandal will have on the perceived value of Porsche as a brand; and will it have an impact on the value of our cars?
It seems the market response today was to wipe a stunning 19% off the share capital valuation of the company.

Oh no!!!!! The MFI pumps are converted diesel pumps.
vw has to pay a staggering sum, will get sued by other car manufacturers, the executive level responsibles will be dismissed - shares will drop even more, because it is just the top of the iceberg.
piech knew about it and wanted to get rid of winterkorn as the responsible head of the massive manipulation, but too late.
vw will be taken over by a consortium lead by toyota.
toyota will then own porsche and stop producing porsches.
it will sell the porsche brand to tata, india...

The dealers are screwed big time. Keep in mind that VW does not sell a car to the end user. VW sold all of these cars to dealers. The dealers then resold the cars to the end user.
The AutoNations of the world can convert their VW dealerships to a Honda store isn less than a week. It's the small town dealership that gets screwed. Then again isn't that always the case?

Tip of the iceberg is right.... it's going to be fascinating to follow who knew what....
If Piech knew about it officially, it means the whole board knew about it, and they will all need to resign....
This is going to be a huge scandal and will shake up the VW group and Germany.... but I don't think the classic car market will be affected.
