    Mfi engine problem

My engine didnt idle...it was a fuel thing. When running with the mfi fuel filter freed up(remove the perforated washer in the filter), it idled fine.

When driving and shifting gears, the rpms collapse below idle. Althhough the engine doesnt die. Where should i start looking?

Maybe its the new repro fuel pumps made in china, insufficient flow rate?

Help ma they're gunna wash my car

How old is the filter? There is also the strainer in the tank that can get clogged with rust flakes.
