Quite a special car.
Wonder why it did not go into auction or sold back to the factory (if privately owned).

Wonder why they pictured one of the prototype pictures among the pictures showed in the ad.

maybe its to expensive , even for Porsche !
This seems like one of the nicest 65 I've seen.
Beautiful. Given it has lived in the factory museum on and off, they know everything about it. Can't understand why they don't want it unless they have others. I'm sure the museum of the most profitable car manufacturer in the world can afford this. They did buy P1 after all.

One source says Author Tobias Aichele once owned this white 65.
Aichele writes on his website/Solitude gmbh his own car was on loan for the 1998 design show about Porsche in London and where the catalogue's forword was written by him, the for sale text writes this car was indeed in London.
"Highlight der Bekanntschaft zu „Butzi“ Porsche waren die Vorbereitungen einer Ausstellung zu Ehren des Kreativen im Design-Museum London im Jahr 1998. Aichele durfte ein Vorwort zum Ausstellungskatalog schreiben und brachte als Leihgabe seinen damaligen Ur-911 nach London."

The for sale ad quotes a document that from 1988 on it was on permanent loan for the "old" Porsche Museum.
The plaque for the recent "50-911" museum show quotes today DLS Automobile as a lendor.
It earlier served as the cover car of Aicheles' book, first published in the early 90ies.
First edition of Aichele's standard reference book about the 901/911.
FA Porsche, Ferdinand Porsche, Wendelin Wiedeking, Harm M. Lagaay.
In 2011 Thomas Geiger wrote about and pictured the car.
