911 S 1967 and ...
Google translates as:
PORSCHE 911 2.0 L 1965 represents for many the reference model and the starting point of a production that continues 50 years after making us dream .
911 we propose is therefore a genuine " Series 0" ( from August 1965 to July 1967 ) , is one of 235 vehicles produced in 1965, it was delivered to Germany in September of that year . After a part of his life in the United States it will return to Italy, where it will be restored in full in the rules of art only with original parts.
The photos and record invoices supplied with the vehicle attests to the special care given to this restoration.
The vehicle is fully matching ( numbers and color ) the " polo Red " body associated within a faux fabrics / foot pool is the most beautiful effect . It is logically accompanied by a certificate of authenticity Porsche and a full article in magazine Speedster " Special 50 911 "

Looks like a very honest, matching number car (hopefully the incorrect fogs are the worst of its vices).
This should be a fine litmus test as to where restored '65 911's are really at right now.
VIN yet on this car?
I am going to have to start buying 1974 911s for a song, caliing them 1973 after the build year and reeling in the cash. This whole 65 thing is ridiculous.
Beautiful car, but really not as claimed for vintage.

2023 Porsche Macan GTS in Gentian Blue 7sp PDK
If this brings over $250 that would put an actual '65 at $350 and a 300xxx car at $400?
A "real '65"? Do we have to go through this bashing every single time a car built in the last half of '65 comes on the market? European registration and vintage racing requirements go by the year of manufacture and this car is for sale in Europe. The naysayers go by the paint code as their biblical proof. OK, truce. After a dedicated posting of some 42 pages and counting, this whole thing is getting very old. Then there is this little inconvenience from Porsche below. If you want the car, and want to pay less because of the month of build, then do so. The posting reports on the asking price out there in the market. So enjoy the info and let it go. Sheesh,
