. . . 1967 Porsche 911S Coupe. Early 911S cars are exceptionally hard to come by and while this is a big project, in the end it will be quite a car. This S was originally painted Bahama Yellow (6605) and is fitted with Recaro sport seats. Two of the early 4.5x15 fuchs are present along with one deep and one flat six. The original 911S motor is long gone, a 2.4T (911/57) motor is fitted with Zenith carbs, it looks like the original gearbox is present. Assume all need to be rebuilt as this car has been sitting for many, many years . . .

. . . This car came out of Alabama and the state does not issue titles for antique cars. It will be delivered with a notarized bill of sale or we can assist in having a title issued. We are happy to help buyers worldwide with shipping and freight logistics. A local viewing is welcome and encouraged with appointment . . .

Seller states that the car "came out of Alabama".

Alabama must be the name of some gigantic animal.

The rear deck lid says 911T and 2.4. It has a slightly more recent, ahem, "patina" compared to the rest of the car, or maybe its aluminium and didn't rust. Seems fishy...

And why does everyone say that early 911S cars are exceptionally hard to come by ? There are easily 40 for sale at any given time point on ebay, Hemmings, Autotrader, CPR, Road Scholars, Sloan, Autokennel, Canford, Porsport (not to lump all these together in terms of quality !!!) etc. etc. etc. not to mention the big auction houses. You can easily find an early S before breakfast on any given morning to suit any level of pristineness.

Alabama was clearly the name of a large Bavarian Fleckvieh. The body pattern of browns and whites is a dead giveaway.

Without the original S motor the value has to take a big hit, regardless of condition.

I find it demoralizing and CRAZY STUPID that that car is worth as much or more than mine.
