Help needed in research of newly acquired early 911

    Bonjour,

I am the new happy and proud owner of this unrestored pristine 1973 US 911 2.4 T/E.
Also the car was exported from the US to the netherlands in 1998...

I am trying to rebuild the history of the car in the US.
    Previous owners, mileage, original document...

How/where would you advise me to search ?
    PCA ? other forums ?

    I need help please.

    The VIN is 911 3 103074

    Many thanks in advance

    I'll say !

    Polo Red/Black 1967 Porsche 911S Coupe "Walter"
Black/Red 1967 Alfa GTJr. Coupe "Nero"
Italian Red 1994 Ducati 900SS/SP looks fast standing still
Italian Red 1957 Gilera 150 Sport

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

    PCA, yes.

Also, in the US, the DMV in each state will have info on every title transfer (sale or inheritance). You write them, pay a fee and get some of the personal info. Some will even send a "Dear PO" letter to the PO if you ask.

As soon as I get the State from where the car was exported, I'll then contact the DMV and continue my quest.. Many thanks for this advice. Best regards

Really pretty car. Can you enlighten me as to what a "T/E" is?

YMMV depending on the state. Some will release no information at all and some will be limited. California, for example, is now limited to 10 years of history (I think it's 10. I just did one and can double check but it is now limited).

Here's a document you may find useful.

In 1973, the 2.4 T built for the US were fitted with CIS injection instead of weber or zenith carbu
it developed 140 hp instead of 130 hp
this was because of US pollution regulation

It was a T model with and E. E models had injection

Yes, I understand what cars came with what equipment, but I still don't understand what a "T/E" is?
