I truly, truly love this car. Every single choice that was made seems to compliment the others. Just spectacular.
Fabulous, Keith: thanks for posting!

Thanks. It's been an interesting ride for me because, despite having owned a variety over the years, this is the first full-on 'Porsche project' I've really taken on (unless you count my backdating a 1974 Carrera). I've tried to stay away from the more common 911R recreation, or 1973 RS look-alike – not that there's anything wrong at all with either of those concepts. My background is with hot rods/customs and, more so, California Look VWs. what I wanted to do was create something which 'might' have been built by someone in SoCal in the early 1970s who was basically a hot rod guy. So, minimalist dashboard and engine bay, attention to colour (color!) co-ordination etc was important, but need to go its own way (wheels, colour choice etc). At the end of the day, it is important that we all build cars that we like ourselves, and not worry about trying to please others. But to know others like it really is the icing on the cake.![]()

Keith I note you used some of your own hair ( or most of it ) on the dash, good economic move that. I also note you temp guage goes up to 170 C, where did you get that figure from and why ? Lovely car and have followed the build with interest and respect.
A real credit to you Keith. Great car.
