How to get information about a UK delivered car?

    Gentlemen,

According to Porsche Australia, my 1971 911T was originally delivered new in the UK before being imported into Australia in the late 1980’s.
I been able to pull tougher a complete history from the time it got here, but nothing of its earlier life.

Does anyone know how I go about learning more of its history in the UK?

    I might try here first:
    https://www.porscheclubgb.com/region...ssic/early-911
    Then maybe an inquiry here:

    Hope this helps,
    Chuck

Write to Porsche Cars Great Britain with the chassis & motor details and for a not insignificant sum, they will send you a birth certificate.
Don't expect they will be able to answer all your reasonable questions, though.

I would follow Chuck's recommendation. Contact the Porsche Club GB archive manager. PCGB has the old AFN records and can help you.

Contact 'IanMcLeod' on DDK; Ian is the PCGB Secretary for early 911's and a really helpful guy, his database of early cars stretches way back and he has access to PCGB archives.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Darren,
Any chance of a contact detail for Ian?
I have gone to DDK and jointed, but a search using Ian McLeod as the author yields nothing.
Any suggestions on how I could in touch with him?
    Thanks a million
    Jeff
