There was a guy in South America making them a while back, used to sell them on Ebay.

Apparently he's no longer advertising there. At least not currently. If anyone has this guy's contact info I would be grateful if you would forward.
    Thanks for the lead Skip.

I could have these made but that's an expense I would rather avoid.

    Frank,

There was an advertiser on thesamba.com awhile back that was reproducing them for cast iron Bosch VW distributors (and I think Porsche 356 as well). Not sure if he's the same guy mentioned above or if he's got what you need but may be an option.

The guy in Argentina is Ricardo. He can be reached at:

    Libreriajenny@yahoo.es

I purchased a couple tags from him in the past . Although they were very early 356 383 distributor tags.
His product and quality is extremely nice.

If there is enough of a demand he may be willing to make a run of tags. Ive purchased several items from him over the years. If you'd like I can ask him.

    Ralfy,

Thanks for following up with Ricardo. From the bid he gave you it sounds like he's used to dealing with people who have a lot more money than I do.
I will go ahead and have some 002 plates made by my guy instead; aluminum isn't considered a precious metal here in Arizona.
Hopefully there are buyers out there.

    Thanks again.

    Frank,

Before you tool up, surf on over to ebay and type in the following: "Sign Bosch Typen Sign B149."

I will collect my commission later in the first quarter when I visit you unannounced in the shop. Hint: beer

I'm with you on that Marco.

If I ever get serious about finding out where Elvis lives I'm calling John.
