No. I think '68 are referred to as "D" shaped. This might help your search.

Yours appear to have been recovered but are not close to the 68 to 71 type headrests.
Here is a little tidbit, not known to many. The "D" shaped headrests were used in some Fiats back in the late 60s and early 70s. I recall Fiat 124 sedans used them as well as Fiat 850 Coupes. They had different upholstery, of course, but were the exact same headrest.

hmmm i dont think they have been recovered..but i will have a closer look tomorrow.
It's been quite awhile since I sold my original 72 sportseat headrests but, I'm pretty sure the originals had a heat embossed pattern around the cutout for the stems as a finish. Yours have just the raw cut vinyl there.

They do to me, as well. I have a pair of leather peanuts here, and the wrapping and closing details are similar, but these look to me to be recovered at about 85% of factory quality. The end cap stitching is excellent, but that 'flap' at the bottom? Not so much.
Proportionally, they are identical to my "peanuts."
