My 67S has a pilot hole already there. I can feel it through the vinyl by pressing lightly. I'm not sure of the diameter but with the hole started it will be east to hog it out to the correct diameter for the MM temp gauge.

I have the Motometer gauge. I have the 60mm hole saw.

    Drilling the hole is easy.

It's where the hole goes that's the trick.

I said the hole is there. Next to the ign switch. Just feel around that area. That is how it is on my car.

I guess I'm not being clear. I KNOW the hole is next to the ignition switch. My thread title already says as much.

I want to know exactly where. How many millimeters away? Where is it vertically?

EDIT: And to further clarify, there is no hole to feel around for if your car wasn't optioned with this gauge.

Assuming the hole is centered, which it is, it is easy to enlarge to 60mm. Once done your gauge will be positioned properly to factory location. That is how I did it. Sorry no photos.

I could make a template or pattern, on lite cardboard, from my piece and mail it for an accurate installation. It will fit in a conventional envelope.
