69 Front seat belt slack question

When adjusting my front seat belt lengths between me and my wife there is a lot of extra belt slack. Was there some sort of bracket on the belts so as to manage the slack in line with the belts and if so does anyone have an image?

The end of the seat belt is riveted into a plastic buckle that slides, so when you adjust the length of the belt you just slide the plastic buckle to take up the slack.

Thanks. The plastic has broken off the riveted piece. Is there a procedure for repair or will the belts just need to be re webbed?

The only choice is to find a good used set or re-web. This place has been highly recommended for re-webbing: http://www.ssnake-oyl.com/ They will not be able to match the plastic slider exact but will operate the same.
