    Hardi Fuel Pump - Testing

As a non electrician (understatement, I still find switching a light on a minor miracle) can anyone advise how I can test a '68/'69 Hardi fuel pump, do I just provide a 12V supply form a car battery (I don't have an assembled 911 to hand) or is it more involved than that i.e. do I need to use anything off the engine bay electrical panel?

    Thanks
    Tim

All you should need are a couple test leads with alligator clips and a good 12V battery. Connect the positive batt. lead to the pump in-put and then a ground lead from the pump body to the neg. post of the batt. You could also use some less flammable liquid (rather than gas) and plumb in fuel feeds to see if it will actually pump at pressure.
