    Fuchs Restoration

I was looking at the car today as it had warmed up here some today. I noticed a little curb rash on one of my wheels. I was wondering if there is someone on here or on the bird that restores them or is there a shop that is recommended? This is a ways a way as I'm more focused on getting the car together and getting it running first, BUT I'd like to know how much this costs/if it can be done. Thanks.

You'll need patience if you want them done right.

    Harvey Weidman of Weidman's Wheels.

Harvey's work is in high demand. But he's worth the wait.

Post some close up pictures and we will tell you how to proceed. Is your car missing it's hood badge?

As Harvey himself has mentioned this is the exact time to send the wheels out to be refinished (if they indeed need refinishing). Yes he, and maybe some others, have lead times but your car is not on the road now, and wont be for a while based on the pictures you have posted. At this moment Harvey's lead time may not be in your critical path but as you get closer to having your car on the road it will be.

If it's only 1 wheel with issues, you may be better off just buying 1 6x15. If it's a deep six, they are more expensive. How is the spare? I've had success carefully taping off the paddles and spraying the black with rattle can semi-gloss. It's not Weidman quality but looks pretty darn good. Just a suggestion????
