    The mirror body doesnt look like it has the correct 68 pebble texture

    Correct it is not and most (99%?) of the OEM units are deteriorated from the heat and sun. Plus if you try to install one there is a good chance you will break the day/night switch due to brittle plastic, then the mirror head is shot.
