Thread: Has anyone used these Maxxis tires?

Has anyone used these Maxxis tires?

I have never come cross anyone running these tires, but since I'm on the hunt for 245/40/15 tires, i see these are attractively priced ($175 each). Anyone have experience with these?

Well, they're street LEGAL, but the fact that they quote a temperature range strongly suggests they aren't safe on the street. If you're just cruising around the neighborhood with the tires below 140°F they'll probably deliver far less traction than any street tire, even a street tire optimized for maximum mpg and an 80,000 mile tread life.
