    Air Cooled Mechanic Needed

    Hi:

I have a restoration shop in Huntington, NY and our shop is expanding rapidly.
I am looking to hire an additional experienced air cooled mechanic with at least 5 yrs under his belt
Can you tell where is the best section I can post this ad on the 911S Registry ?

    Thank you,

    Import Autohaus

    Chuck,

You never cease to amaze me at your complete misunderstanding of the benefit of humor.

What's it like to live in such a small world?

    Lightbulb

    Editing the wise-ass responses....

Their are many shop owners in the country/world that are looking for the same experienced 'air cooled' mechanic as you at this time.

I know of two shops in SoCal, a few in the Southwest, and who knows how many more here and overseas...

Porsche dealership service managers will confide that none of their young 'technicians' have ever adjusted valves on a 911.

Good luck on your quest... and make your interview very comprehensive....

    Cheers,
    Chuck

That's why my "response" was entertaining and appropriate.
All of us shop owners need new recruits and the hiring pool is a joke.

It's easier to find a low mileage, one owner 67 S for $50k than a good mechanic these days.

I would request that you put my post back up please.

    Thanks.

all sarcasm is justified for a first-time poster, IMO

Being a kindred spirit with the poster I think he would have guffawed at my post. I'm sure he's had his share of experience with Millennial's.

Chuck, I think you believe that most people who show up here are easily offended. I'm sure some are thin skinned but I'll bet its the VAST minority.

Instead of assuming a new poster will be offended by someone's post and immediately delete it why not grant them some charity for being grown up and mature? Going to lowest common denominator and assume that they might be ticked off is frankly treating them like a wussy.

If they are offended and whine to you because they don't have the eggs to go to the offending party, fine; make adjustments then.

Good grief... this is supposed to be fun. Let's not become the 356 or 912 Registry.
