FS: SOLEX 40 PI Carburetors, Manifolds and Original Heads

For sale is a matching set of SOLEX 40 PI carburetors, manifolds and cylinder heads. I purchased these from a gentleman who had a '66 which I stupidly didn't buy two years go for $23K. Smart huh? Anyway, two heads are dated 8-65 and four are dated 9-65. The carburetors and manifolds will need to be restored. I've worked with Paul Abbott at Performance Oriented and it doesn't get any better. The heads are in good shape with no broken fins. They too should be viewed as good cores but all these parts came off the same car. $5900 o.b.o. Please ping me with any questions whatsoever. Thanks for looking.

    Hallo racerstock,
missing the opportunity to buy this 66 is hard. But I can tell you it is harder to buy a 66 that has never arrived in Germany. At the moment I make a second attempt and I hope to be successful with my second container in South Carolina.
    I only can offer you 5000 $.
    Wish you a nice week.
Kind regards my email ad zech@medeco-bonn.de
