Rare eBay find or common glassware

I picked up this "early 911" glassware piece on eBay recently. Didn't pay much for it and have never seen one before. The seller is a regular eBay seller of odds and ends picked up from estate sales.

Anyone seen one of these before? Repop or original vintage? How might it be originally sold?

Load it up with a nice IPA (West Coast, preferred) and who cares if it is a repop, or vintage. It is a cool piece!

I have enjoyed Stone Brewery's Ruination IPA recently, but not in this glass; it only holds about 6 ounces. This gives me an idea for an off-topic thread!

I believe they are 60's Dealer Promos.
These were given to me by my Grandpa who worked at a VW Porsche dealership in Missoula Mt. back in the 60s and early 70s
