    TTG Lights

I got some 6 inch diameter Hella TTG fogs that finally arrived from Portugal but already installed some 5 1/4 inch Hellas that I had purchased on ebay. Without mounting it looks like the 6 inch lights are too big for the hood to open and close. Question: Where are 6 inch lights used on our cars or am I F&*$ed?

I think the 118 hella lights are 5 1/4 and are the correct lights for Porsche and the 6 inch ones are Mercedes ( and maybe other car) lights

Here's a little reading for you Bob.

The 6" lights can be made to work but, they need a bit of an offset so that the hood can be opened.

Got a picture Mike? These are nice ass lights and I'd hate to relinquish them but if they can't be made to work I'll have to sell them to a Merc and I'm not sure where the hell to do that. The bird?

The only picture I have of 6in lights on a car is of an early 67S. Brackets are different and I think those in particular were probably one offs. I have seen guys with LWBs and Merc TN6s mounted and those are 6in as well. Those are usually fogs and they swivel them out ever so much so the hood clears. A little creative work on the brackets and grills and I'm sure theyd fit. I have a pair of early 6in Hella driving lights that I might try some day.

Thanks Mike. That's what I was thinking.
