Question 1973 Window Sticker Question (Low Mileage Car)

    Hello together,

sorry to post a Question about a 1973 G 911, but I found no other forum which is that deep into details like this one - respect!

Some years ago I bought a 73 911 Targa in the US which had 4300 Miles on the odo.

The story the seller told me sounded a little strange an I did not count on it:

" The car was purchased new in 73 and had an accident in 75 ( rear panel) while the repair was performed they came in disput and the owner got his car back with a new but only primered rear panel.

He then put the car into storage and took it back out ( aged 83 years) in 2010 and sold it as is."

When the car arrived in Germany i had a closer look at the carpets, and they seemed like new, so I thought perhaps the story is true.

But there is a second Item which made me think about:

There is a window sticker with driving instructions, which looks like its from the dealership ( see attached pics )

Does anyone here know if such stickers were put in the cars when new?
Could it be an original Porsche Item?

The pics attached are bad quality, I trie to get better ones when I am back at my garage by tomorrow.

Thanks for your Help and Greetings from a German 911 enthusiast
    Richard

Early 911 are 1964-1973 Model Years only.
Looks yours is a 1974 Model Year Targa 2.7l.

    Hi together,

thanks! so could be an evidence that the mileage is true?

@ Brian: Have you ever seen an other car whit that sticker still on?

Has anyone pics from that days who show such a sticker?

@Harvey: Sorry for using the wrong part of the forum
