    My 911 L 1968

Hi, just bought a 911 L 1968 with vin number 11810437. The Certificate of Authenicity tells me that the car was sold in Germany, light ivory, with a 130 hp engine. By 1970 the car was sold in Sweden, to whom I don't know. The interesting thing is that the cars with vin number 11810438 and 11810439 was sold directly to Sweden 1968 as rally cars, one to Björn Waldegård and one to Bryggan Andersson. The importer was Scania Vabis. In a forum from 2010 there is a discussion about these cars including my car 11810437 where all these cars are mention as rally cars. So my question is, what happen with my car after it was imported to Sweden 1970 and by whom. Did someone imported the car and transformed it into a rally car? Is there someone out there that sits on information that can be useful for me? Today the car is a clone however my intention is to renovate it back to its original form.

i dont know anything specific about your car.
however by nailing down a few of the other numbers it may become clearer
what engine number did the COA state came with the car. also what engine does it have in it now (if any). is it / was it a 328xxxx number, a 38800xx number, or a 308xxxx or something different?
also what gearbox number is in the coa / in the car now? did it start with 928?

    Hi HughH
The engine number which the COA stated was 308378 and the gearbox 3280980. Today there is a replaced engine with the original gearbox, don't know the number on the new engine, must find out.
