Rare 911 S or ST Oil Cooler Offer??

Original 1969 911 S Behr Oil Cooler (these were also used on the 911 ST Factory Competition and various early rally race cars). These were mounted in the right front fender on the "street" cars and actually in BOTH front fenders on the competition cars. You can modify this to a left front fender application by removing the brackets and "flipping" them.

This cooler is in overall good condition physically as it does not appear to have been warped and banged up in accidents and the cooling fins are in overall good condition (many times we see the fins crushed and closed up). The threaded fittings are in good condition and do not seem to have been the victim of heavy handed tightening activities.

However, please note that the cooler does leak on the end opposite the threaded fittings and it appears to me that some creative individual tried to patch the leaks with some sort of putty / epoxy. The repair material is dried out and it is fairly easy to scrape off with a blade. The cooler will need to be properly restored to work on your 911 (go cart, 356 or whatever you want to mount it on.

    Agree!

The leaks are on the end where the epoxy has been applied - that is why it can be repaired

These were discontinued due to the corrosion problems evidenced here, from salt on the roads.
