Is it possibly sitting in this car?

Appreciate the post. That sure is the same engine number but I’ve found it here in 3 spots: 2015 Norway, 2019 Massachusetts and now France. All I need is one. Lol.
Let’s solve this mystery.
I don’t have a COA for my car but I have what I believe is the original handwritten maintenance record listing the VIN and engine number. My car is a one owner car, previous to me.

Looking thru the photos of the Elfersport car, the engine number on the photograph is actually 6310104 so 1971, not 1970. Solved.
I’ve heard from Norway and Massachusetts so piecing things together. Guessing the case was sold and now resides in Massachusetts. Don’t know how or when it went to Europe as it was removed from the car in 1978 in the LA area.

Hi Ravi,
The picture of your engine, was grabbed from Peter Kane´s Ebay link in the post right above to make it possible to search for the number after the link expired.
Sorry that I don't have your original engine and able to help! Crossing my fingers you will succeed in tracking it down!!

I sure appreciate your reply. It seems that my case was on eBay. So that eliminates 2 of the 3 possibilities. Hoping the person who purchased the case is teachKenpo who has replied to me. Perhaps somehow it ended up in his hands as he advertised it on a different post 4 years after your post. He’ll check tomorrow. Hoping I get there. Still need the bits to build a period correct 1970 S engine.

Don’t know the seller, no aff, but this could be the start for a 2,2 911S MFI:
