"There are 163 Porsches offered for sale over a four-day period. In some cases, this abundance constitutes ten percent of their entire catalog. Mecum, for example is offering a staggering 63 Porsches out of their 600 cars for Monterey. Rick Cole lists five Porsches among his 43 offerings. That doesn’t even hint at private sales that may happen before and after Tuesday’s Concours on the Avenue in Carmel (incidentally honoring Porsche models through 1989) or Friday’s Werks Reunion." Speaking of which, one of those Porsches is an early 1965 911 (chassis 300620) at Bonhams http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/22792/lot/94/.

Does anybody know what the red box is in its engine bay? I think the black letters read SYDMUR ...EBALL.



Aside from that strange box, the only nits I have to pick with this car is that it has yellow cad (or zinc) plating on some throttle linkage pieces that were probably silver when it was new and a few of the flexible fuel lines are incorrect but most are not.
