i thought the correct 128 lenses for 65-68 were "V".

    am i misinformed?

To add to the confusion I think the lens relates to the type of lamp that is used, ie Tungsten type bulb with V lens and H-1 bulb with lens as pictured above. Happy to be educated by an expert if I'm wrong

The 911 accessory booklets suggest the change to non-V came with the "Iodine" fog lights. The "V" style early 911 foglight shown in the 10/65 accessory booklet had accessory #9293 (644.631.912.03), while the later "non-V" style shown in the 10/67 accessory booklet had accessory #9292 (901.631.201.00). The "V" style was eliminated and didn't show up in the later accessory catalog.

free bump for a good education...

if the "V" disappeared in 10/67. it would have been one of the transitional changes for the '68 model year.

good things to learn. thank you.
