I'm hoping it's the clutch cable....

Driving home from Rennsport, on the freeway, I heard a pop as I pressed the clutch pedal. The clutch pedal was down, but didn't pop back up. I got to neutral, and coasted off the freeway (luckily I was near an off ramp), then pushed my car to the side of the road. The pedal is staying down, but I'm able to pull it up by hand under no tension. It promptly snaps back down when I let go of it. I was able to get a tow home (was only 20 miles away from home). What do you all think? Clutch cable?

most likely. Could be the plastic clutch cable connector if you still have one of those. That is a very simple fix and permanent if you get the metal version.

Glad you made it home easily.

Could also be the pin thru the clutch lever on the cluster.
