Who sells the most authenic basket weave?

    Hi,
I've just installed a Blaupunkt Frankfurt, replacing a more modern stereo. I now need to replace the basket weave in the radio and heater control section of the dash. I'd prefer not to replace the other sections as its in great condition. I see that Pelican sells sections, but can anyone recommend either the Pelican one or one supplied by another company? The car is a 70T.

    Many thanks
    Paul

Hi Paul in Switzerland you'll get it from isoproq.ch or at Strähle Swap in Nov.

Why not buy a used door panel that has an old speaker hole cut into it? It would be original and probably match the patina of the rest of the car.

I agree with Soterick on this one. I bought the stuff from Pelican, and while ok for a driver like my car, falls well short of matching the rest of my original dash vinyl. If you're looking for a perfect match the Pelican's stuff is probably not what you want unless they've changed it in the last year or so.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try the swap meet that Uli suggested first and then look for an old door panel if that doesn't turn up anything.
