    Porsche Diesel News

I just spoke to a Porsche sales person who confirmed they just received news from Porsche headquarters that they are ceasing all U.S. TDI sales on the Cayenne until their emissions matters are resolved with the USA.

Nobody in LA seems to care (unless you are one of the few people with a TDI). Everyone else just thinks it is more reality TV. Much better than that if you ask me.

I was considering one to tow my race car, but a little voice in my head kept saying, "It's not a Porsche."

    The diesel's not a Porsche.

I'm not that "brand loyal". Much better tow vehicles for a lot less money.

    Amen !!!

to cite just one example, for instance: the late, much missed John Thornton owned a VW Touareg with the 10 cylinder diesel to tow his blue 912 R to various West Coast tracks……one of the most remarkable, safe, drivable, economical, comfortable, reliable and enjoyable vehicles I have had the pleasure to ever be in.

Good to hear. I am looking for the smallest tow vehicle with the best mpg that will still climb the mountain passes. The V10 Toureg has been on my list.
