    Gas tank coming out to repair some small rust. What else?

    I'm about to remove the tank on my 71T to repair some small rust spots. I don't think it's ever been out. While out, what else should I replace? Are there some fuel lines, or anything else that are good to renew while I have the tank out?

    Oh absolutely on the fuel lines. Also check the little rubber bushings that isolate your fuel pump- if they are hard, I would replace them. Obviously the seal around the fuel tank will need replacing. Good opportunity to pull the plug with the fine mesh screen and clean that. You will need new washers for the fuel tank fittings, as well as a new cork washer for your fuel level sending unit.
