do you mean a 911 from production 1Q66 just for the numbers resemblance? Now that is a real new and creative take on collecting cars!

912 April 1965

964 RS clone (one of many)
964 Targa original Dutch police car (one of 45)
964 Turbo 3.6 (one of 1450)
993 S Vesuvio (one of 250)
Some like color, some like numbers. My first 911 was 305506, my last is 305607S, I guess 305708 should be next.
...yes collecting by numbers...
but i already found this thread...

ok, now the incredible part...
this morning i got offered a nice swt 67 912, and i thought, well give him a call, as we had a chat earlier this year.
we talk about the 912, other cars he had to offer, life....collections, porsche... I tell him: well actually I do look for a certain car with certain numer for my collection of goddies......why! because a personal related issued. he then counts the vins of his cars....
....
305640...
i say: stoooppp!!
you do have the 305640?
by no way what a coincidence...
ok the car was sold in germany to a porsch dealer in ulm as a test driver. sold to the usa then, stayed for all the time, was sold 3 years ago for over 200k back to germany...
car is untouched since then, not for sale, sportseats, rear wiper, perfect all around, but needs the usual rubbers and liquids done.
i ll meet maybe next week with the owner.....
