    FS: @The Samba - '71 'T' Coupe . . .

    VIN = 9111121464
    Eng# = 6117171
    Trans# = ?

'. . . Up for sale is this 1971 Porsche 911T that was sold new at Martin-Johnson Porsche of Oakland, CA. This Porsche has been in Northern California bay area it’s entire life. This car has been garage kept since new and has been well cared for and cherished. Same owner since 1975. There are some original receipts from early on in the vehicles life that are included as well as the service booklet that will show the ownership history of this 911. Factory ordered with “S” gauge package and wheel well trim.

This Porsche runs and drives well and has a plenty of power. The car has had a recent valve adjustment and oil change service within the last 100 miles. The engine sounds great and has had the following upgrades added over the years to produce better than stock performance and reliability: Weber carburetors, 930 oil fed hydraulic chain tensioners, K&N air filter, and 930 lower valve covers. The transmission shifts through all gears as it should without any issues. All brakes work as they should with little effort and have plenty of life in them. Bridgestone Potenza 205/60/15 tires are fairly new with plenty of tread and low miles on them. All 5 original deep 6 Porsche Fuchs are present and in very nice original and complete condition, which includes the date matched spare. For the most part the engine and drivetrain are stock with the exceptions of the above added items along with a rear sway bar and front strut bar being added to improve handling.

This Porsche has had one respray in the mid 1980’s in the original color of Irish Green. The paint still shines well and is respectable, but is beginning to show it’s age. The interior is mostly original with the exception of some of the original carpet being replaced. Included with the sale are all of the original carpet pieces that were removed and are still in good condition for their age. There are no signs of any major accidents, metal replacement, or rust. Floor pans, door bottoms, rockers, battery trays, etc. are all solid and rust free. There are two small spots of surface rust at the bottom edges of the back window as seen in the pictures. Odometer reads 24,531 and common sense would dictate that this has turn over in it’s life.

All glass is original and in good condition with some minor wear to the windshield that you expect to see of a vehicle of this age and use. All original electrical works as it should: lights, turn signals, wipers, radio, original clock, power antenna, horn, gauges, interior lights, hazards, heater, under hood light, etc. “S” style fog lights are not hooked up so they do not function, but could easily be wired up to work by the new owner. All windows and door locks work as they should.

Overall this Porsche is very solid, respectable, and gets plenty of attention and compliments wherever it goes. I wouldn’t hesitate to get in today and drive it anywhere.

Other notable upgrades done by the owner were the addition of original Bosch H4 Euro headlights, and an original “S” metal front bumper and “S” style fog lights. As you would expect with any 40+ year ownership there are a few items that have been kept and/or collected for and from this car and will be included with the sale.

Original owners manual, service booklet, early receipts, and original tool kit are pictured and included with the sale.

This car is currently registered and includes a clear California title and will also include the original dealer plate frame and personalized original blue California license plate that is registered to the car.

Does anyone have any insight into this car? I see the auction was stopped, so someone must have bought it, now.

Kinda surprised --- that this kind of post doesn't generate more attention . . .

This is one of those 'just a car' posts that shows what appears to be good old car

    Not my car . . .

    . . . no connection/stake/involvement with it, of any kind, whatsoever . . .

    . . . don't even know if this car exists --- much-less its condition

But how many people come to Our Little Corner looking for a car? --- very-much like this . . .

    . . . not a show car . . .

    . . . more-than-a-few miles . . .

    . . . coupla bumps + bruises + wear + tear

    . . . but all there (still) ----------------- after 40-some years

Cars like this are what brought me here
