    Early Blaupunkt Radio Info

    Thought I would post some pictures of a radio that sold over on the bird recently. This confirms to me that there was not a '73 of '74 version of the US Frankfurt radio. This radio was factory original to a '74 911, note the model number 7.632.627.00 the 4th digit "2" tells you that it is a 1972 model but the serial number D-0238692 tells you that it was a late '73 installation. "D" prefix is for '72-'73 designation: A='69-'70 B='70-'71 C='71-'72 D='72-'73.

    Amazing condition of the radio aside this is a nice purchase just for the documentation, side clips and rear bracket on their own
