WTB: Chrome exterior door handle without key for 73 911

I am suddenly in need of a chrome exterior door handle for my 1973 911E. It is part 911 531 941 00 and fits both LHS and RHS

I would prefer one without the lock both for cost reasons and because I would be using my old lock anyway (or would have to have the new one re-keyed.)

The "trigger" snapped on mine today (see photos) and unless a trigger can be found (which I doubt) I think a new handle with associated parts but not the lock seems the best solution.

I have seen one handle available on line without the trigger and other parts but obviously that would not suit in these circumstances.

    thanks in anticipation

Door handles are exactly the same for right and left. The only difference is with the lever on the back side of the handle. The trigger is the weak link with these handles and the aftermarket replacement is a piece of crap. It would help to read up on previous threads about these handles. There is a wealth of info. Familiarize yourself with "innies" and "outies" before buying any replacement parts. The trigger in the above post will only fit "outies"

    Regards

    Jim

    Thanks Jim and jeff

I did see some trigger only pieces for sale including the ones that Jeff posted about but was quite wary of replacement non factory parts. I also see carpoint.de make some triggers only which look much more like a quality product but are currently out of stock.

I saw that the only difference in my year is the part that you mention Jim so I could always change that over if necessary on any part i get. i would prefer to get a trigger only but suspect that a whole handle 9so long as it is in good condition may be a better option although more expensive.

you dont happen to have any lying around do you Jim?

Thanks for the responses. I think (hope) that I have it sorted now. I am a bit surprised however about how many seem to break and the lack of good replacement parts that are the same as the originals
