Seller's Description:
1967 Porsche 911S project car
Production completion date September 29,1966 (50th birthday only 2 weeks away)
I listed this car a few years ago and decided to keep it at that time.
Now I am ready to let this very unique project car go, for the right buyer.
It has numbers matching motor and Transmission.
I bought it many years ago, its been in storage ever since.
It has a sticker in the Window,
that shows that it came from Chicago.
I don't know much about the history of this car, but it must have a history.
I took some cleaner to the seats and found that the seats are actually white, not black.
the carpet has a green shade to it.
The exterior is black right now, but the original color is Irish green.
I hope some Porsche 911 enthusiast will find this car motivating.
No guaranties or Warranties
Actual miles NOT known
I reserve right to pull the ad at any time.

I think "complete" is a bit of a stretch. There won't be much Stuttgart steel left in that car when done.
I also like this quote from the seller...
And what's with the black dye on the seats?I don't know much about the history of this car, but it must have a history.
been for sale for 3 years... must be one hell of a story...

The seller has an accurate description: “complete project car, numbers matching." It's "project" who really cares if the seats were dyed or not? Totally, irrelevant. These kind of "tear it apart negative comments" are why so many people won't post there car here for sale. If I wasn't into a 67S project right now, I'd be looking at this one pretty hard.

Too many Porsches and one VW are starting to fill up my desert landscape.

Jim, I don't give a rat's arse about this car. I have no interest in it and the OP isn't the seller. He is a potential buyer actively soliciting opinions about the project and I offered mine which in regards to this car is negative particularly in light of the apparent expectation of value the seller has. Don't like my opinion, fine. But don't turn around and bash me for offering it, when it was in fact solicited.
Regards the seats -- they appear to possibly be original to the car, so I do want to know why they were dyed. Would the factory have done that? The COA lists a black interior. Are there any known instances in this era where the factory took a white/beige/tan interior and dyed it to satisfy a request for a black interior?
