    Anti roll bars

Is it worth fitting anti roll bars to the front and rear suspension of my 72 911?
If it is a good idea, best place to buy one?

on the rear is a bit of welding needed

A front sway bar is more critical but adding a rear isn't a bad thing.

I run these adjustable ones on my '73. Apart from hard rubber bushings from Elephant Racing and alloy trailing arms, the suspension is otherwise standard S. I would not be without them. Of course the look isn't very original but I'm not concerned about that.

I've used both the stock bars and aftermarket adjustable bars. they each have their place.

One big problem is that you never go fast enough on the street to need the adjustable bars. You adjust the bars by determining what the car is doing mid-corner. How good are you at determining what your car is doing mid-corner? I used to have someone watch my inside front tire and make adjustments based on how high the tire was off the ground. That worked nicely and I won a number of Solo 2 Championships with that totally non-scientific approach.

I used to adjust one end of the car between runs. Keep in mind that you only want to adjust one end at a time. And that is more of an art than you might think.

Once I stopped running competitive events and returned to the street I found the ride to be a little harsh. Technically this shouldn't happen but sway bars do have an effect on ride quality. At least the aftermarket bars do.

The stock 911 bars don't seem to have any effect on ride quality.
