    Combining Passions: Airstreams & Porsches

My passion for Porsches has been well documented. Lesser known is that I also have a passion for Airstrem trailers, especially vintage ones. I presently own a 1990 (barely vintage) 25' Excella which my wife and I use extensively.

I would like to use my travel trailer next year to facilitate attending numerous Porsche West Coast events. It would give me a chance to create a bit of exposure for my restoration business and, more importantly, spend some time with some of the friends I have made in the Porsche community. I'd like to start building a calendar for 2017 and can use some help in deciding which events to attend. So far I've identified the following that look promising:

    Porsche Festival of Speed
    April 21-23
    Fontana, California

    LA Lit Meet
    March 4-5, 2017
    Los Angeles, California

    Porsche Parade
    June ???
    Spokane, Washington

    Monterey Week
    August, 2017
    Camping at Laguna Seca
    Events?
    Monterey, California

What other events should I look at? Ideally I would like to have vendor space and an opportunity to attend social events. I'm not too worried about camping as I can always find something nearby.

Thanks for your input - and hope to see you along the trail.

    Cheers.
    John

    Great pic and awesome trailer!

Is that a Mercedes that you use to tow the trailer? How well does it work?

Yes, I tow with a Mercedes ML500 SUV. Using a Blue Ox weight distribution hitch it has done a great job in over 20,000 miles all around the West.

Haven't made it to the Midwest yet Doug, but one of these days - and I'll take you up the BBQ get-together.

    Cheers,
