FS: Restored 1966 Porsche 912 with Sport Seats Silver/Red

1966 Porsche 912 Karmann Coupe. Matching numbers with 5-speed transmission. 93,650 miles, believed to be original. This car was built October 27, 1965 with features found only on the very early cars, non-adjustable front struts, 4-screw horn grilles, washer bag in right front fender, VIN plate between smugglers box and VIN stamp. Other notable differences were chrome bumper over-riders without rubber pads, black textured surface beneath bonnet, black behind horn grilles, satin black beneath engine grille. I purchased this car restored and have been correcting some of the details that were not correct during my ownership and now have the car where it should be with the exception of the seats. This car features rare, one year only (for this style) factory sport seats from 1967. The silver metallic/96024 paint is the original color per COA and very rare for the 1966 cars, apparently only 3% were done in silver metallic. The previous owner found minor imperfections in the paint so he had the body stripped to bare metal, windows out and resprayed to a very high standard. During my ownership I changed the incorrect Fuchs to correct date-stamped (08/65), 4 1/2 x 15 chrome wheels. The 4 mounted on the car are Lemmerz, the spare is a KPZ also dated 08/65. The wheels were refurbished by Bolton's, one of the best in the business. Tires are new Vredestein Sprint Classic 165 HR15 radials. I changed the later style rubber bumper over riders for the chrome units. The bonnet badge was changed to the correct orange bar unit, original, not a reproduction and has wonderful patina. I installed a new German square weave trunk carpet set from Autos International. I removed the incorrect H4 headlights and installed a perfectly restored set of correct headlights from John Audette, one of the best for lights and turn signals. When I received the car a little over a year ago, I took it immediately to one of our local Porsche shops and had it gone through, all fluids done, brakes bled, engine tuned. It did need the Solex carbs rebuilt, those were done by Eurometrics and had the wrong distributor, it now has the correct Bosch 022 unit. I replaced the rear shocks with new red Koni units and exhaust system was replaced with new Dansk original style system. I have many more photos and can take any others on request. The interior needs nothing unless a future owner wanted to replace the Repa shoulder, retractable belts with original lap only belts. I also have a very original 1979 Porsche 930 with 54k miles that I am selling. If the 930 sells first, I will keep the 912. I am happy to assist with local PPIs, there are several capable Porsche shops in the Sacramento area. $68,500 (may be willing to sell for much less if buyer does not want the sport seats). Update on my 912. I sold the sports seats to a gentleman with a 1967 911S and he had a pair of very well preserved correct seats for my 912, and with head rests per my COA. Autos International had a perfect match for the red and I decided on houndstooth centers. Meanwhile, completely disassembled the recliner hardware and had them re-plated, chrome where they should be chrome and nickel where they should be. One passenger side and one driver side shown. Now reassembled and awaiting the seats which should be ready any day now. I do need to find two rubber boots that cover the splined shafts, one side has them, the other does not. I have checked several parts sites but to no avail. Does anyone know of a source for these?
