i believe it was 175k and a no sale. It was a very tired looking car needing a full restoration, it did not fit in with the rest of their offerings. The estimate was outrageously high.

Interesting how different it looks in the pictures. I am surprised that prices get so high without having PPI or test drives. How can anyone make an informed decision.

So...what have we learned from these countless value threads?
-Don't buy a car at auction
-Don't believe pictures
-In GENERAL, value threads are at best, gross over-generalizations, and at worse, meaningless chatter.
-Value is established on an individual basis, when the buyer and seller exchange money for the car.
-Previous sales are no indication of the value of 'your' car
-These threads are redundant.

GONE...MANY, many great ones....
Looks like most of the early 911's that were at the auctions were "excuses" cars, the auction house is a buffer between the buyer and seller, seller will get maximum $$$$$ without having to disclose anything.
Love the wording that these auction houses use in their descriptions, "believed to have.........."," car shows xxxxxxx miles", "consignor states that......."
Buyer Beware!
