    Original Strut/shock 70S ?

I removed these units from the fronts of a 70S Targa.
See photos of stampings , would like to verify the information from the stamping.
As restoring to original , recommendation for rebuild of these units.
    Thanks for assistance

Why not just replace the inserts?

    Ok with replacing inserts.
Are the stamping correct for the 70S targa ? I remember reading that targa's have issues with either the front or rear shocks.
Believe it's the front since the rears I removed were adjustable Koni's
Who provides the service for refinishing struts and replacing the inserts?
    Thanks again for assistance

Not sure what the Targa/strut issue was you mention, however I don't think Porsche felt the stiffer Koni's should be used on the less rigid Targa body, hence the Boge front struts you have. The rears were maybe changed out by a previous owner. Contact Paragon in Corpus for a good shock source. The strut housing you can strip and repaint yourself, nothing tricky here.
