    D style or peanut style headrests

    I should know the answer to this but what style headrests for a single locker 72 style sports seats in vinlyl please??

    If it were leather, I believe it would be "D" headrest, so vinyl is peanut.

    For 1972, vinyl is peanut, leather is "D" shaped. I've owned quite a number of the seats, and done the research on original cars. I've seen images of a leather peanut headrest, but never personally seen or owned one to verify whether it was original or recovered. On the other hand, I've owned personally several 1972 and 73 cars with original leather interiors and the headrests were all "D" shaped. I've not found yet a vinyl seat/headrest combination in anything but peanut for 72/73.

    If someone wishes to provide an alternative thought, please provide the documentation to prove otherwise.....
